Join the Kindred
Cinneadh nan Gàidheal is a community of people who have chosen to show up for the living culture of the Gaels — the language, the traditions, and the values that carry it. We are a registered Canadian charity. If this work calls to you, you belong here.
Cinneadh defines kinship not by ancestry, nationality, or fluency — but by commitment. You don't need Gaelic blood or a Gaelic grandmother. You need to be willing to show up for the language and the culture, and to learn alongside your kin.
Membership is open to anyone dedicated to the principles and living culture of Cinneadh nan Gàidheal. Fluency in Gàidhlig is not required — but members are encouraged to learn, and supported in doing so.
What You're Joining
Gàidhlig as the primary language — conversation circles, learning tools, and resources built by our members. All levels welcomed.
Oral tradition, storytelling, poetry, and music. Learning through the Céilidh House model — community, not classroom.
Traditional dress, food traditions, weaving, crafts, and trades rooted in ancestral practice. Modern adaptations welcomed.
Earth-based ceremonies, seasonal gatherings, and rites of passage. Culture as a living calendar, not a museum.
Active collaboration with Indigenous, Gaelic, and other colonized communities. Decolonization as practice, not principle alone.
