Fàilte gu
Cinneadh nan Gàidheal
Kindred of the Gaels Society
A sanctuary for language, kinship,
and living Gaelic culture.
Language · Loving Kinship · Living Heritage
The breath and voice of the heart — the way we give shape to our joys, griefs, laughter, and longings. Some say it is tied to caoin — to weep or keen.
From caraid, meaning friend, and cara, "I love." Kinship built not on bloodlines but on love, trust, and chosen bonds — friendship that deepens into family.
The living weave of stories, customs, and ways of being. A felt sense of belonging — of being where you truly belong, among your people, rooted in a culture that knows and holds you.
Kinship Defined by Commitment
Cinneadh nan Gàidheal defines kinship not by race, nationality, gender, ancestry, or DNA — but by commitment to upholding, sustaining, and promoting the language and culture of the Gaelic world. All are welcome. All are kin.
Is fheàrr Gàidhlig bhriste na Gàidhlig anns a' chiste.
Better broken Gaelic than Gaelic in the grave.
